Amr is a first year PhD student in the lab, funded by UKRI (United Kingdom Research and Innovation). He is neurosurgeon who specialised in Hannover and Mainz, Germany. He holds a medical degree from the University of Göttingen, and a Master of Science degree from Oxford. His previous research focused on the use of emerging technologies to improve precision in neurosurgery, and on neurosurgical education and training.
Amr works on the utilisation of data-driven Machine Learning methods to investigate expertise and manual dexterity in neurosurgical operations. His research focuses on understanding and improving precision and economy of movement in complex brain and spine operations.
