Jan is a research associate at the Chair of Digital Health and Data Science at the University of Bayreuth. He specialises in the development of full-body electromyography (EMG) and its data analysis. He completed a Master's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Bayreuth in 2025.
Over the last decade, the recording and analysis of neural data has become increasingly important. Although several electromyography (EMG) recording methods already exist for determining neural activity in individual muscles and muscle groups, but no tool has yet been developed to measure and evaluate the neural signals of the whole body with the highest possible resolution. Our research aims to develop such a device to advance diagnostic procedures and enable the control of assistive devices using the most accurate body data possible.
